A tea grown in an area of India that is northwest of Assam, known as Darjeeling. Grown in the foothills of the Himalayas at elevations of 1,000 to 6,000 feet, Darjeeling tea has a complex aroma with a clear, brisk, and penetrating flavor. All of Ashbys' Darjeelings are second flush, picked from May until the end of July from the Risheehat garden.
